    The grapes are harvested from the Maxendorf vineyard in the vicinity of Poysdorf, characterised by loess and clay-gravel soil. The wines of the “Black Edition” series are an expression of the freedom of ideas of the owners Marion and Manfred, in experimenting with their favorite varieties to the limit, making “Black Edition” their prestigious line.

    Different processing techniques are used – pressing for up to 48 hours to extract flavours and fermentation on the zips, after which the juice is moved only by gravity and remains unfiltered. This is followed by spontaneous fermentation in 500 l oak barrels without temperature control, leaving the wine on the lees for a long time and stirring it occasionally. In this way, subtle mineral and spicy aromas combine with delicate notes of wood and yeast to highlight the refined personality of this wine.

    Thai curries, Indian cuisine, game stews and roasted trifle can be a fantastic addition to this special gruyere. Serving temperature 11-13°C. Bottled 2000 butts. with potential until 2034!

    Alte Geringen meant “plucked from nature” many years ago. Now, the dense, limestone-rich loess soils of this late 1950s vineyard contribute to the wine’s distinctive flavour. After hand mashing, the juice and fruit are left together for a minimum of thirty days, mashing daily by hand. malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation occur 70/30 in new and used French oak.

    Who would have guessed that the taste of this Zweigelt could be so elegant? Burgundian style on the palate, full-bodied but silky with elegant structure. Finely balanced flavour with spicy mineral notes and beautifully integrated tannins.

    Ideally pairs with red meats, game and stews, spicy hard cheeses and aged soft cheeses. Serving temperature 13-15°C. Bottled 1800 butts. with potential until 2029!

  • Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben BIO 61.99 лв.

    The grapes for this wine are from 50 year old vines planted on loess on the Steinberg Ridge. The warm soil and controlled yields ensure ripe grape material, which is hand-harvested in late October. Once clarified, the must is moved to used oak barrels to ferment spontaneously without temperature control.

    Deep aromas of yellow fruits, ripe apples, melons, a hint of grapefruit and fresh herbs. The palate feels sweet fruit with delicate tobacco notes and at the same time balanced fresh acidity.

    Food pairings for this wine are varied – roasted dishes, light meats and poultry and hard cheeses. Serving temperature 10-12°C. Bottled 5000 butts. with potential until 2032!
